A fierce heads-up duel and a few lucky hands allow the player to claim the title and the top prize
Online poker events are getting all the attention from the poker community meanwhile the world fights the coronavirus pandemic back. There is one online series currently in development, the 2020 Borgata Spring Poker Open Online Series, which recently concluded its Event #17. A total of 67 players were registered for the High: $75,000 GTD High Roller that paid the winners a prize of $14,175. The title was taken by player "Eages," who took down "judiallin" in the final table.
A lot of luck favored Eages to win this title. He began the heads-up battle with fewer chips and got really low at one point. He had a lucky comeback with an all-in preflop he made with a ten and a six of the same suit, scoring a flush. After being brought back into the game by that hand, he got Kings and threes to double the chips judiallin had. The last hand finished in an exciting moment in which both players had triple queens, but Eages's ace sealed the deal.
There were some renowned online poker players who fell short of making it into the money, starting with Daniel “centrfieldr23” Lupo. Other pros who were unable to cash from this event were Ari “spinach_kale” Engel, Ryan “TheSims” Hohner and Michael “Gags30” Gagliano, just to name a few. The money in the prize pool was all for the first nine players, the last player to be sent home without any prize money was "SharingisCaring" who was busted in tenth place.
