Today the Americas Cardroom team announced the company's newest Team Pros. Katie Lindsay and Chris Moorman signed their contracts to much fanfare this morning. The pair joins Chris Moneymaker and Vanessa Kade as ACR's biggest 2021 signings. Moneymaker left PokerStars for ACR in January of this year and Kade joined him in February.
Americas Cardroom teased their newest sponsored pros yesterday with a competition. The ACR Twitter team posted a picture of the two players' silhouettes and offered entry to a raffle competition for anyone who could guess who the silhouettes were.
Katie Lindsay has $500,594 in live tournament cashes, 17 years in and around the poker industry, and a Twitter bio that reads: "Fashion enthusiast, champagne consumer, world explorer, card player," and now "@acr_poker Team Pro."
She wrote: "Thrilled to announce that @acr_poker has asked @moorman1 and I to join their team of pros. [...] this is such an exciting and unexpected opportunity."
Chris Moorman is a British online crusher with over $6 million in live tournament cashes. He is also Lindsay's husband. That makes the pair the first married couple to join a poker site as sponsored team pros.
"The competitiveness in our house is already at 110%, to be honest," Moorman says in the ACR presser. "When we are at the same table in a tourney, Katie always goes after me and calls me a nit if I fold to her. I’m sure we’ll have some kind of a side bet for who wins the first ACR tourney as a Team Pro."
The @ACR_POKER Twitter account wrote: "We’re making history once again as we’ve become the first online poker site to sign a husband & wife duo as Team Pros. Welcome aboard Chris Moorman and Katie Lindsay!"
Welcome to America
The other ACR Team Pros were quick to welcome the newbies to the team.
Kade wrote: "Welcome to the team! Don’t let @CMONEYMAKER scare you, he told me that when you become ancient you can’t help but be crotchety. We’re working on a regular nap schedule for him."
Meanwhile, old man Moneymaker yelled at the new kids on his lawn. "I understand Katie's avatar looking better than mine," he wrote. "But how in the hell is @Moorman1's better?"
Jeff Boski simply replied with a Squid Game GIF of a pink jumpsuit saying "We'd like to extend a heartfelt welcome to you all.
Moorman and Lindsay may just want to double-check that poker is the only game they'll have to play under their new contracts.
