Kid Poker is confident he’s going to make an impression at the upcoming series

While land-based casinos slowly start to offer live poker again, the online poker scene is growing and getting hotter with several of the best players in the world participating in online series. The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is going to run an online WSOP Online series that will include a total of 85 gold bracelet events, giving access to players from all over the world. The action begins on July 19, and Daniel "Kid Poker" Negreanu is getting ready for the series, already extending a bet that he will win one bracelet this series. He is getting more excited as the series approaches and is confident about his level of play.

Negreanu is undoubtedly one of the best poker players in the world. His poker earnings are over $42 million coming from live tournament winnings, including six WSOP bracelets and two World Poker Tour (WPT) titles. Despite this series stoking plenty of debate among poker players, with some feeling the WSOP may be going overboard with the number of bracelets, Negreanu sees it differently. "I believe an online WSOP is better than no WSOP," he says. "I’m obviously a mixed game aficionado so not seeing that on the schedule is unfortunate, but as I said, I’m just happy to be able to play something."

Negreanu has experience in online poker; he used to be the ambassador for one of the largest online poker brands out there. "Online poker is a better way to improve your skills than live poker by a wide margin," he adds. "Online is all about focusing on the fundamentals and it’s easier to analyze hands you may have played using the hand history feature."

He added that people who want to start playing should start small so they can be adjusted to a faster pace and the difference of playing online poker. "Get accustomed to the software and all the bells and whistles available before you jump in for big money," Negreanu notes.
