Viktor Blom continues to make a statement in the ongoing series of tournaments
Most pro players are still hoping for live poker to come back, but at least, in the meantime, there are great online options for all tastes and sizes. The online poker traffic has been increasing as a result of the coronavirus-caused lockdown, with many of the most renowned poker players in the world taking their talent to online grounds. An event that normally takes place live, the Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB), has been transformed into an online event and, after 22 events concluded already, there is one lucky player that has just collected his third title: Viktor “Isildur1” Blom.
This is probably an ideal scenario for Blom, as his fame came from being a dominant player while playing poker online. For those who are not familiar with Blom's story, he is quite a legend. He started back in 2009 when he was only 19 years old. He has used the same nickname Isildur1 since he began playing aggressively against the greatest pro players like Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, and Tom Dwan. His style is ultra-aggressive and careless about the value of the money he was putting in. He has been involved in the top ten largest pots in online poker history, including a $1,356,947 pot against Antonius.
Regarding the latest SHRB title, Blom has been displaying great poker talent. So far, he has cashed in a total of seven events, but the most impressive thing is that he has won his third title in this series. The SHRB #09 – High Roller: $500K Guaranteed 8-Max, which granted him the top prize of $213,750, the SHRB #14 – Super High Roller: $1M Guaranteed 8-Max in which he took home $407,500 and finally, the SHRB #21 – High Roller: $500K Guaranteed 8-Max, for which he added another $195,250. Blom has won, so far, a total of $1,552,025 from this online series.
