The poker stand-out shows he can play in both live-action and virtual poker with no problems
Pro poker player Justin Bonomo has made history in the Super High Roller Bowl (SHRB) for becoming the first player ever to win three SHRB titles. This year, however, was the first time that this massive poker event took place on online grounds due to the coronavirus pandemic. But that wasn't an impediment for Bonomo to conquer his third title; before, he won in China and Las Vegas in 2018.
Bonomo’s path to his latest title was not at all easy; the final table features some of the best poker players in the world who also wanted to take the title, no matter what. Names like Orpen Kisacikoglu, Darrell Goh, Alex Foxen, Sergi Reixach, David Peters and Sam Greenwood – all have collected massive wins in other events, as well. This final table had some tough competition and it was not clear who was going to be the final winner until the table was reduced to the last heads-up battle between Bonomo and Michael Addamo.
On this occasion, it didn't matter who started with the chip lead at the beginning of the final day because it changed from player to player all throughout the final table. The day started with Ali Imsirovic having the most chips, but that wasn't enough for him to make it to the final table, and he ended up finishing ninth. The bubble burst quickly, with Kisacikoglu leaving the table busted by Addamo.
The final action between Bonomo and Addamo was exciting and captivating, displaying some of the most amazing poker hands that have been seen. Bonomo was able to take a slight advantage in the chip count due to an early double, but Addamo did not cave and he fought until the end, falling just short of beating the second-ranked live poker moneymaker in the world.
