It's important to remember to have fun at the poker table. Landon Tice is here to remind us all of that. Tice spoke with PokerOrg ahead of his entry into the $300 Gladiators of Poker event at the World Series of Poker.

In the interview, Tice highlights his own desire to have fun while playing small buy-in events. His approach to these massive field events is to manage his own expectations of what the experience will be like: "You have to know what you're signing up for."

In other words, there's no need to be too serious at the table in these events. For Tice, it's all about enjoying playing poker with the people at his table.

Tice goes on to say that it's often easier to cash in these tournaments because the large field size allows for more eliminations, in a more rapid fashion. He then compares Gladiator-esque large field events to smaller field high rollers and points out that field size can heavily influence how players approach spots. In those small field events, Tice notes that the buy-ins tend to be much higher and players are generally more ICM-aware, which makes cashing the event far more difficult.

Finally, Tice takes a second to clarify the origin and evolution of his "Child/Slave of the Sim" nickname, giving partial credit to Matt Berkey, Joey Ingram, and Daniel Negreanu.

If you're like Tice and just want to have fun, get out there and play in The Gladiator, chat up your table-mates, and do your best to make the experience memorable for yourself and others.
