The unique poker format drew a healthy crowd before Gottlieb took home his first bracelet
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Bracelet Series continues to award gold bracelets and one of them is going to a completely unknown poker player who has won one of the events with the biggest buy-ins in the series. The $10,000 Short Deck NLHE event, the 43rd on the list, gave Lev “LevMeAlone” Gottlieb his first bracelet on Wednesday morning. He left behind a field of 130 entries in this high-roller event and took home the impressive prize of $276,393. The final battle for the title was against one renowned regular in high roller events, Mikita Badziakouski. Third place was for Sergi Reixach, who took home $159,933, and fourth place went to Nobuaki Sasaki, who won $121,659.
This win for Gottlieb is not only his first-ever bracelet or his first-ever tournament victory; it is also the first time he has ever cashed in a poker tournament, at least according to public records. This only makes people in the poker community want to know more about this short-deck player, who got his title while playing from Mexico. For Badziakouski, from Belarus, he added another massive cash out to his already impressive poker career and earnings; the prize for the runner-up was $210,249, and he now has nearly $29 million collected in tournament earnings.
However, he has not been able to get his first WSOP gold bracelet yet.
There are only two more events for high-rollers in this WSOP Online Series, both taking place on the international side. There is another $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em event and a bigger one with a $25,000 buy-in and a $10 million guaranteed prize pool, so Badziakouski has a couple more opportunities to earn that gold bracelet.
