The numbers continue to rise as the online poker series attracts more players

Monday night hosted great poker action coming from the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Series as it ran its sixth event, the $600 PLO8 Six-Max, which drew a field of 833 entries for a total prize pool of $449,820. This was the first non-Texas Hold'em event in this series, and it took 12 hours to be completed. The winner of the event was Nathan "surfbum" Gamble, who took home the top prize of $89,424 on top of his second WSOP bracelet.

Gamble is an Army veteran from North Richland Hills, Texas. He won his first bracelet from a WSOP event back in 2017 when he defeated 830 players at Event #46: $1,500 PLO8, for $223,339, so he has had plenty of experience.

"I started playing [poker] when I was 13, so poker has always been a big part of me," he said in 2017 after his first WSOP win. "I think it's just about maintaining a balanced life. I got engaged recently and been living in Hawaii and it's just having the ability to realize that poker isn't everything. It's the people around you. It's about everywhere you end up in life that you are able to make a difference at. So, hopefully, I can make a difference after this."

The final table of Event #6 was filled with talented poker players like Shane “danish01” Daniels, who finished second and won $55,283. The third place went to John “rainman3817” Esposito, who took home $38,685. Other names sitting at the final table were Tom “hansdigalo” Schwartz, Timothy “SSJTimmy” Batow and Simon “bagelbites” Lam.
