There's no shortage of action down in Texas these days and for the better part of the next month San Antonio will play host to an action-packed tournament series.
The South Texas Championship returns to Rounders Card Club, running from October 30th to November 20th. The annual tournament festival enters into its second year following a strong debut in 2022.
The schedule of events promises players fifteen trophy events for over $1.5 million in guarantees, plus several new offerings on the slate. The Seniors Championship, Ladies Championship, and the $300,000 GTD Mystery Bounty highlight the new additions. There are three new mixed game events on the docket, including 4-Game Big Bet Mix and Big-O tournaments.

Three six-figure guarantees
There are three tournaments on the schedule with six-figure guarantees. Event #2: The Opener boasts a $150,000 guarantee with a $200 buy-in and nine starting flights for players to choose from. The popularity of mystery bounty events continues to spread and Event #7: Mystery Bounty promises a $300,000 guarantee with a $500 buy-in and nine starting flights.
Then there's the big one, Event #14: The South Texas Main Event, which comes with a whopping $750,000 guarantee with a $1,000 buy-in and eight starting flights.
There are plans to live stream the final tables of certain events, including The Opener, Mystery Bounty, and Main Event, on the Rounders Card Club YouTube channel.
The festival will likely draw a number of notable names in the poker community, particularly within the Texas scene, promising for a lively atmosphere and good competition.
