PokerStars US announced Tuesday that the Spring Championship of Online Poker will return for players in both Pennsylvania and the joint player pool of New Jersey and Michigan. The iconic tournament series kicks off March 17th and ends on April 3rd.
The series guarantee, set at $5M, is PokerStars' largest ever in the US.
Over the course of 252 events, players in the shared liquidity pools of New Jersey and Michigan will compete for $3M of the prize pool while the Pennsylvania players battle it out for their $2M slice. The series features events of all stake levels from $10 buy-ins to the $2,500 High Roller.
The series begins with an 8-Game Championship special across multiple buy-in levels and will be followed by a Turbo Night Fight. The series also offers Casino Races with a leaderboard in each state and trophies for the top players. The highlights of this year's schedule include the two-day Main Event ($300), Mini Main ($50), and Super High Roller ($2,500).
Severin Rasset, Managing Director of PokerStars US, said, "We've made a concerted effort to ensure that this series is accessible to all players. Our aim is to provide everyone with the opportunity to compete for a coveted SCOOP trophy."
