The WSOP Online Series continues to find winners
This past weekend was loaded with great online poker action for all types of players. Some online poker players can go through their entire careers without claiming a title for a major event, which is not at all the case for Stephen Chidwick, Ali Imsirovic and Artur Martirosian. These talented players are major beasts at playing poker, and it doesn't even matter if they play online or live events. They all three took down an online poker event yesterday and took home amazing prizes to boost their already impressive poker winnings.
Chidwick did his thing when he played one of the High Roller Club tournaments. He came first playing the $5,200 Big Game $750,000; however, the total prize pool ended up at $866,370. By defeating the field of 165 entries, he secured the top prize of $191,727. His mission at the final table was not at all easy as Chidwick was facing other big names like Rainer Kempe, Mark Radoja and recent WPT Online Championship Main Event champion Christian Jeppsson.
Imsirovic, on the other hand, picked up a great win by defeating a 38-player field. He emerged victorious at the $25,500 buy-in High Roller Club Main Event to take the biggest share of the $950,000 prize pool. Martirosian was actually there in the final table, but he finished third and added $156,750 to his bankroll.
Lastly, Martirosian continued to try his luck in high roller events. He played the High Roller [Single Event], $500K GTD and survived the field of a little over 100 players. Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet and Samuel “€urop€an” Vousden were present during that tournament, but the final heads-up was against fellow Russian "hello_totti." The final two players refused to close a chop deal and Martirosian took home $115,217.
