The online format resulting from the coronavirus lockdown finds a large turnout for the event
The globally-acclaimed Asian Poker Tour (APT) changed its location to an online tournament due to the coronavirus pandemic. The second edition of this poker series has now completed its Day 10 of the 15 days in which the event is running, and the final day will be June 28. The APT 2020 has gained impressive popularity and support from the poker community around the world over the past few days, which could be attributed to the fact that it is being held virtually.
This poker tournament has been nothing but a great display of poker talent, offering cut-throat competition to fight for great prize pools offered for the different events and championships during the series. According to the event's official post, the second edition of the APT includes a total of 234 games scheduled on different dates and a mix of the buy-ins and prize pools. So far, 156 games have been completed and granted over $7.1 million in cash. Now that the event is heading towards the end, there are 78 more games to offer to poker lovers who want another chance to try their luck one last time.
This series was designed to bring something to every paying capacity. There are worthy tournaments for as little as $10 and as high as $1,000. The second edition of this APT successfully completed the highly-anticipated Main Event and, after the conclusion of this event, the players now have their eyes on giving their best shot during the Championships Event, which comes with a whopping $1 million GTD prize pool. It runs from today to June 28 and the buy-in is $800.
