The series continues to exceed expectations as turnout is greater than any previous live series
This year's World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Series has gotten all the attention from the poker community, moreover due to the lack of poker live events across the country and the world.
Almost halfway through the series, the tournaments - all of them with no announced guaranteed prize - have been collecting a nice bankroll that has been distributed across the winners and top finishers of the 13 events that have been played so far. Besides winning one of the wanted-by-all gold bracelets, over $10 million in prize money has been awarded, which represents an average of $800,000 per event.
This series comes with a total of 85 bracelets to be awarded to event winners during the whole run of this series.
Out of the 13 events that were already played, two of them (Events #10 and #12) saw prize pools of over $1 million dollars, and Event #9 was just a little below $1 million. The total prize pool generated from this series was $10,459,225, with the biggest prize pool in one single event being $1,119,960 on July 10 - Event #10 NLH MonsterStack $600 Buy-in.
Out of those more than $10 million, a total of $1,798,178 has been awarded to first-place finishers for an average of $138,321 per event for the winner. The average entries per tournament have been 1379 with the biggest one being the July 12 – Event #12 NLH The BIG 500 $500 Buy-in that saw a total of 2427 entries. The total rake collected so far is $930,575, and there are still 18 more bracelets remaining as part of the US-focused part of the series that is being played in WSOP.com.
