The World Series of Poker Paradise marches on following an action-packed day yesterday that saw Event #1: Mystery Millions reach its $5,000,000 guarantee and Event #3: GGMillion$ High Roller Championship get off to a hot start with a sizable field of entrants.
Jason Koon leads the pack of high rollers after Day 1A of the GGMillion$ High Roller Championship with 6,000,000 chips--good for 99.5BBs.
The West Virginia native looks to improve on an already-impressive year of results. With over $10,000,000 in live cashes on the year--much of that coming from his six Triton wins--Koon finds himself in a strong position to add to that figure and pick up his second gold bracelet in the process.
The Day 1A field garnered 246 entrants and saw only 24 of those players advance to Day 2 play, having secured the minimum cash of $40,000.
2013 WSOP Main Event Champion Ryan Reiss was the unfortunate bubble boy, crashing out in 25th place. Other notable players moving on to Day 2 include: ArturMartirosian, Fedor Holz, Erik Seidel, JasonMercier, Daniel Negreanu, Ben Heath, and Espen Jorstad.
Day 1B of the tournament kicks off later today and, after Day 1A's impressive turnout, the second starting flight should push the prize pool well past the $10,000,000 guarantee.
