Event #28 of the 2021 WSOP is the $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed tournament. This three-day event started on October 14 with 40-minute levels. The level length bumped up to 60 minutes for the final two days of the tournament.

Dylan Weisman — who coaches pot limit Omaha at Upswing Poker — won the bracelet. The $1k PLO event allowed just one rebuy. Even so, the field built to 1,069 entries, with a pot of $951,410.

Weisman found himself heads up against Craig Chait, a serious player who has so far cashed in the top three tables of three events this series. Weisman came away the victor, however, walking with $166,461 and a WSOP bracelet for his win.

The 2019 version of this event was extremely popular, with 1,526 entries combining to build a total prize pool of $1,374,300. Luis Zedan won the tournament’s top prize of $236,673 and his first WSOP gold bracelet. Zedan was on the right side of a cooler on the final hand as he turned the nut straight against his opponent’s top two pair.
