The March series will run for 12 days, March 7-18, 2024, and include 10 separate events, many with multiple Day 1 flights. Satellite tourneys for several of the events will also be offered.
Official (meaning numbered) PokerAtlas Tour events at Resorts World LV will feature buy-ins between $260 and $800, though most of the events have buy-ins of either $400 or $500. Seven of the 10 official events are no-limit hold’em in several different variants, with three fixed-limit tourneys – H.E.R.O.S., Omaha-8, and Omaha-8/Stud-8 – rounding out the schedule.
Over $700,000 in prize-pool guarantees has been included as well. $300,000 of that total-series guarantee will be offered in the NLH “Title Event”, which begins on March 14 with the first of four consecutive Day 1 flights.
PokerAtlas Tour less than one year old
The PokerAtlas Tour was launched last year with a summetime series at TCH Houston, stepping up from being a sponsor of srveral individual series in earlier years. The tour branches out from PokerAtlas’s established offerings, which include one of the most comprehensive databases of tournament series, along with deep listings of live poker rooms to be found online.
The new tour also gives PokerAtlas a promotional vehicle for its state-of-the-art TableManager software, a newer rival of Bravo and other live-poker software packages. To date, the new tour has been dedicated to appearing at venues where the TableManager software has been installed.
PokerAtlas has also hired well-known tournament director Justin Hammer to head up its live events. Hammer has established himself among the leading poker TDs who work with several tours and series that need tourney-floor help on a part-time basis. Hammer, a protege of legendary TD Matt Savage, also has a strong supporting network of traveling staff that he can bring in to help run PokerAtlas Tour events.
