The $25k Pot Limit Omaha tournament that began yesterday, whittling a 77-strong field to just 10, has crowned its champion – Seth Gottlieb. He picked up $511,000 and his first Triton title, defeating Daniel Dvoress heads up. The $1,925,000 total prize pool was shared between the top 13 finishers, with a min-cash (picked up by Morten Klein and Sergio Martinez Gonzalez) worth $38,500.

Of the four-card poker aficionados, the newest to the Triton scene was Michael Rossi, who finished in 5th place for $148,200. Rossi’s journey to the Super High Roller Series started, incredibly, with a $90 satellite win to the Moneymaker tour, where he earned a $100,000 Triton package. He chopped this into several high roller entries, and this $25,000 certainly made a good return. On the high roller circuit, Rossi has made an entrance.

Though Dvoress and Gottlieb started heads up with almost exactly even stacks, one huge pot dropped the former to the felt – the latter rivering quads to effectively end the tournament. Handshakes to express the "GG" sentiment, and on to the next one…

The $125k Triton London Main Event has begun

The lush black and gold surroundings of the Triton tournament area have now been given over to the $125,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Main Event, a three-day high stakes battle that will bring many of the famous names who’ve warmed up here this week back to the felt for another title attempt.

So far there have been 137 entries (42 of them second bullets), and 65 players have made it through to Day 2.

Though Erik Seidel spent a good chunk of time in the chip lead this afternoon, a downswing in the late stages has left the overnight top spot to the winner of this week’s $30k Turbo Bounty, Pedro Garagnani. He takes 1,554,000 chips (194BB) to Day 2; his nearest rivals are Juan Pardo (1,341,000), Rodrigo Seiji (1,260,000) and Seth Davies (1,204,000).

Also in the overnight chip counts are today’s new champions: $250k Luxon Invitational winner Bryn Kenney (runner-up Talal Shakerchi busted in the penultimate level but is also back in the counts), and the $25k PLO winner, Seth Gottlieb.

Play resumes at 1pm local time (live stream and coverage with the delay from 2pm). For those whose day doesn’t go as planned, a $60k single-day NLH Turbo event begins at 4pm.
