Prize pool ends at over $2 million in Bigger Online Super Series finale

A month of big tournament guarantees at the Winning Poker Network wrapped up Sunday with the Bigger Online Super Series $2,650 Main Event. BOSS #43 - $1,000,000 Guaranteed Main Event saw 832 entries register, more than doubling the guarantee with a $2,080,000 prize pool.

High-stakes tournament pro Ben 'DamianLillard' Jones outlasted the field to take down the BOSS Main Event grand prize, pocketing a $381,680 payday. BOSS #43 played out as the centerpiece event of the Bigger Online Super Series, the third and final leg of WPN's OSS Cub3d X series.

OSS Cub3d X ran throughout August, featuring more than 220 events. The series promised $15 million in guarantees, and that number was far surpassed thanks to big turnouts in the events like the BOSS Main Event.

Here's a look at some of the biggest winners from OSS Cub3d X:

BOSS #43 - $1,000,000 Guaranteed Main Event

Ben 'DamianLillard' Jones added the biggest online tournament score of his career to the resume with his $381,680 win in the BOSS Main Event. According to PocketFives, Jones' win in BOSS #43 marks the sixth time he's earned a six-figure payout in an online tournament.

Other top finishers in the BOSS $2,650 Main Event included 'Kak_Ded_Y4il' (2nd - $272,480), 'galettederois' (3rd - $205,920), 'LJG10' (4th - $154,960) and 'Call4Cience' (5th - $108,160).

The win pushed Jones' career online tournaments earnings over the $5.2 million mark. The United Kingdom-based pro also has more than $800,000 in career live earnings.

The Venom - $7 million guaranteed

The OSS Cub3d X series kicked off with The Venom, a $7 million guaranteed tournament that ended up awarding the biggest payout in the history of the Winning Poker Network.

The $2,650 buy-in event drew 3,872 total entries, pushing the prize pool to $9.68 million. Both of the top two finishers took down seven-figure paydays.

‘TRT-Vitor’, took down the victory for $1,394,821, breaking the all-time WPN payout record for an online tournament. 'Marty ‘forrestranfar’ Mathis finished second, and per the terms of a heads-up deal between the final two players, Mathis won $1,282,666.

OSS #128 - $1,000,000 Guaranteed Main Event

The Online Super Series (OSS) represented the second of the three phases of the OSS Cub3d X series. The OSS Main Event marked one of three tournaments on the OSS Cub3d X schedule that offered seven-figure guaranteed prize pools.

OSS #128 - $1,000,000 Main Event drew 2,781 total entries for the $600 buy-in tournament. The win went to ‘theseKids', who came away with the $269,478 grand prize.

OSS Cub3d X wraps up, MOMOMO PKO Tournament Series up next at WPN

The next big tournament series on WPN kicks off September 9. The MOMOMO PKO Tourament series guarantees $50 million across a seven-week series, which runs September 9th through November 1st.

Each Sunday during the first six weeks of the schedule offers a $1 million Guaranteed PKO tournament. The series culminated in the $5 Million Guaranteed Venom PKO Main Event, which WPN touts as the biggest PKO tournament ever played in an online series.

Every tournament on the MOMOMO PKO schedule plays as a progressive knockout tournament. The Venom PKO Main Event plays as a $2,650 buy-in tournament, with four Day 1 flights October 23-November 1. The tournament wraps up November 4.
