The highly-anticipated tournament proves to be a huge success

The most renowned live poker tournament organizations have been running an impressive online series while the world of live poker is still complicated. Another great online event comes from the World Poker Tour (WPT), which has just concluded the WPT Online Poker Open. The Main Event was quite a success, and it registered a total of 868 entries that were enough to surpass the prize pool of $300,000 guaranteed for a total of $317,540.

The player who emerged victorious as the winner of the Main Event was pro player David "TheKing411" Coleman, who took home $56,586. Besides the title and honor of getting first place, Coleman also earned a WPT Championship Trophy and a package worth $11,000 that comes with an entry into the next WPT live event, the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic. This event takes place at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, and Coleman’s package comes with the $10,400 buy-in and $600 cash to spend on travel costs.

This is the second online event Coleman has added to his records in just a few weeks after taking down the $400 US Network Online Series Main Event for $21,233. Coleman showed consistency in building his stack during the whole event after entering the final table second in chips. Even though the chips kept moving from one player to another, Coleman was able to secure his place, especially after he showed a full house that was fully paid by the chip leader at that time. That gave Coleman the advantage and the confidence that would lead to his eventual victory.
