The World Poker Tour (WPT) has announced the signing of popular vlogger Brad Owen as the newest member of its brand-ambassador team. Owen is the second brand ambassador named by the WPT since the start of 2022, joining world-famous DJ and recording artist Steve Aoki in representing the WPT brand and image.

Owen is a veteran cash-gamer who’s carved out a large following as a YouTube-based vlogger. Owen was one of the first well-known pros to embrace the vlogging world when he began sharing his sessions with online viewers in 2016. Since then, he’s garnered nearly 600,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel while amassing over 120 million total views during his six years on the platform.

He’s also claimed one award, capturing the Hashie in the “Best Vlogger” category at February’s 2022 Global Poker Awards in Las Vegas.

“I am excited to be joining the team at WPT,” Owen stated. “I’ve been looking forward to making this the next big step in my poker journey, and I believe our partnership will help us both continue to grow the game of poker.”

Owen debuts at WPT Choctaw festival

Owen begins his tour of duty as a WPT brand rep by appearing at the WPT’s Choctaw (OK) festival in early May. He’ll be introduced at a May 12 “meet-up” cash game, while the WPT will be giving away two $3,800 WPT Main Event seats and two $1,500 WPT Prime Passports via giveaways on Owen’s Twitter account, @TheBradOwen. No purchase is necessary to participate in the giveaway coordinated through Owen’s Twitter account.

The Choctaw appearance is likely to be the first of many for Owen on behalf of the WPT. He’ll also be creating online content specifically for the WPT, tying together his new WPT role to his large online audience.

“Brad has shown himself to be one of the most impactful forces in the community and the game as of late,” said the World Poker Tour’s CEO, Adam Pliska. “His genuine approach to sharing the game of poker has reached an incredible amount of fans, and WPT is fortunate to be joining forces with him.”
