The World Series of Poker has announced an expansion to the upcoming 2021 WSOP with the addition of 11 new bracelet events, all of which will be conducted online. Today’s announcement swells the total of bracelet events during the upcoming series to 99. The 11 online bracelets join the 88 “live” bracelet events beginning at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino on September 30.

Ten of the 11 newly announced online bracelet events will take place on the U.S. WSOP.com site that is open to players located in Nevada and New Jersey. The eleventh online bracelet will be up for grabs on WSOP.com’s Pennsylvania-only site.

The 10 Nevada/New Jersey events occur once or twice each Sunday throughout the Series, concluding with an online “Mini Main Event” with a $1,000 buy-in on November 21. The Pennsylvania-only tourney is a parallel Mini Main Event also running on November 21, and also featuring a $1,000 buy-in. (The complete listing of the 11 extra online bracelet events can be found below.)

The Nevada/New Jersey online-bracelet schedule thus includes two double-bracelet days, on October 3 and November 14. The Nevada/New Jersey online slate is further bolstered by the addition of two “25 Seat Scramble” satellite events, where players in those two days can win seats into the November 21 Mini Main. Those satellites will run on Sunday, October 31 and Tuesday, November 2.

“Online poker is an important form of tournament poker in 2021,” said the WSOP’s Executive Director, Ty Stewart. “Our philosophy has always been to provide players the most options of any poker festival in the world. WSOP.com online bracelets have a strong track record of significant prize pools, making them a great option for players who want to multi-table while in a live tournament, or play from the convenience of their home or hotel.”

The addition of an online event for Pennsylvania, but not for Michigan, the other single-state WSOP.com market, raises the possibility that another online event could still be added for Wolverine State players. Such an event would likely be another $1,000 Mini Main, and if it’s created, it would bring the 2021 WSOP slate to an even 100 events. For now, however, the count remains 99 and holding.
