The World Series of Poker’s contract with the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is coming to an end after the 2021 WSOP live bracelet series. It has been widely speculated that future WSOP bracelet events will be held at Bally’s Hotel & Casino and the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This year’s series, which is currently scheduled to run from September 30 through November 23, will be the last time that poker players, fans, and industry workers will have the chance to enjoy the sights and sounds of the WSOP in the Rio Convention Center.

The 2021 WSOP live series will likely draw some massive fields. Poker players are starving for live poker after the 2020 series had to be canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions, and the final chance to play at the location that has been home to the WSOP since 2005 should serve as a draw as well. In anticipation of these crowds, Caesars Entertainment is in the process of hiring help for multiple positions.

There are currently six positions available for the WSOP 2021 series listed on the Caesars Entertainment job board:

  • Poker Dealer ($15 Per Down Guaranteed)
  • Poker Floor Supervisors/Managers – Temporary
  • Tournament Clerk – Temporary
  • Cage / Caesars Rewards Supervisor – Temporary
  • Cage Cashier / Caesars Rewards Rep – Temporary
  • AML Clerk – Temporary

For poker fans that work in the industry or are interested in doing so, being a part of the final series at the Rio as a staff member instead of a player could be an intriguing option.

PokerNews is hiring live reporters for the event as well

In addition to the casino-based jobs posted by Caesars Entertainment for the upcoming 2021 WSOP series, poker fans interested in working at the Rio this year before it is rebranded as a Hyatt hotel might consider covering the action as a live reporter for PokerNews.

Details on the qualifications and responsibilities that come with the position can be found on this PokerNews job posting. Live-reporting during the World Series of Poker is a demanding job with long hours, but for writers who love the game of poker, it is an experience unlike anything else.

Daniel Negreanu was one of the first to respond to the live reporter job posting on Twitter. “Hey babe,” Negreanu wrote in a tongue-in-cheek post addressed to his wife, Amanda Negreanu; “if you are bored and want to make some extra cash this fall and hang with your hubby in the Rio hallways one last time…”

This year’s live WSOP series will feature 88 bracelet events. Whether you take in these events in person or online as a player, a worker, or a spectator, there’s no doubt that the last series ever held at the Rio is going to be a special one.
