It's a big day for Fantasy WSOP managers, and a big day particularly for David 'ODB' Baker, who is second in chips heading into the final day of the $1K Mystery Millions.
He might not have pulled the $1 million bounty on Sunday, but he's playing for a cool million up top today – and his fifth WSOP bracelet after winning the $5K Seniors High Roller last summer.
Vinay Boob leads the way with a stack of 97.3 million. Baker is right behind him with 75.8 million.
Twenty-four players return for the final day and there are two more fantasy sweats in their ranks. Joey Weismann is in seventh with 47.5 million and Ren Lin has the shortest stack of 12.3 million.
All three have already secured the huge field bonus.
"These kinds of events are what make the WSOP special," says Baker in his latest fantasy vlog (watch at the top of the article).
"I had a chat with the chip leader yesterday and this is his first trip to Vegas.
"We play poker all the time and I know a lot of pros don't like mystery bounties as it puts a lot of the prize pool to luck. But they bring a lot of people out to play and it's fun. I've been having a great time."
$25K Fantasy update
David Baker's Team Banana is up to third place after big scores from Naoya Kihara and Marco Johnson. They also have Kihara and Brad Owen playing on the final day of the $2,500 Mixed Big Bet event today.
Kihara is the big chip leader with 13 left, while Owen is ninth.
There are plenty of other fantasy sweats there too, with Matt Vengrin second, Dylan Smith third, Renan Bruschi fifth, and Ryuta Nakai in 12th.
The Mixed Big Bet also resumes at 1pm Monday and will play down to a winner.
Meanwhile, Daniel Negreanu could be on course for his first $25K Fantasy win. Team DNegs is currently top, but only four points clear of Team Verderamo.
PokerOrg Fantasy Freeroll update
Team SmolNPudgy is holding the line at the top of the Fantasy Freeroll leaderboard. They're holding off previous leaders Kath's Calls by 10 points, and the pair have opened up a gap of more than 100 points over Never You Mind in third.
There could be a change at the top tonight, though – Kath's Calls have Kihara playing for them today in the Mixed Big Bet.
$500 ODB Fantasy update
Team brunocaboclo2 is first on the ODB Fantasy leaderboard, with a huge score of 1,479 – thanks to 300-plus point hauls from Kihara and Josh Arieh, along with 200-plus point scores from Calvin Anderson and Yuri Dzivielevski.
They're 42 points clear of Team Bucko in second.
Remember, the ODB Fantasy pays out the top 100 – and there are still plenty of points to be won with a big field bonus and 3x points up for grabs in the Main Event, which starts on Thursday.
