Phil Galfond is forgetful: And he's also created some great things that are free. Luckily, he remembered to make a list.

I apparently make things and then forget to remind people they exist. Here are 7 free resources I made for poker players:

Poker > football: Brazilian World Cup star Neymar may have retired from international football, but he's still on the books at Série A club Santos, albeit in recovery from his summer exertions.

Fans weren't happy to see him playing in a poker tournament while Santos were in action in the Copa Sudamericana. According to Footmundo he hit back saying, "I worked in the morning, I didn’t go to the match, I came back to training. It was my day off. I’m getting ready to train. Can I train or are you going to keep criticising me too? Mind your own business."

Watching WSOP on ESPN2 live brings back a lot of memories and dare I say, 30 minutes in, the broadcast has been exceptionally good. The first episode really brings back the old story telling feel that helped poker blow up. I’m impressed. 👏

Bring back the big stacks? Alex Foxen adds to a debate started by Derek Kwan, outlining why the obesession with coloring up can have drawbacks for the players – as well as denying us the cool mega-stacks of old.

Alex Foxen @WAFoxen

Beyond the clear aesthetic benefits of bigger stacks, the color-up obsession has technical drawbacks as well. Playing 1500bb with no 100s in play forces players to 2x, 2.33x, or 2.67x. Almost no one would choose these sizes if unrestricted. Forcing such limited choices in terms… https://t.co/8hnoKxXSah

As he describes it, it's a trial run with the potential for more should things go well – so be sure to tune in.

It's time to look to the future: With the summer series in the rearview – mostly, don't forget we've got three epic days of Main Event final table action coming up – it's time to start looking forward to WSOP Paradise in The Bahamas.

And where else to start, but with the hotly-contested Player of the Year race?

THURSDAY, JULY 16

Event number 100 of 100 is complete: With his victory in the $1K Super Turbo, She Wong of the USA has won the final event on the WSOP Las Vegas schedule.

The one-day affair was the final event to finish, late on Wednesday night, when Wong took down the last hand against Japan's Ryuta Nakai. It's a first bracelet win for Wong, who banks $216,286 for a fine day's work.

With the conclusion of the $1K Super Turbo there's now just one piece of unfinished business from the 2026 world Series of Poker, and that's who will win the Main Event and its incredible $10 million first prize.

Nishant Sharma wins $800 Deepstack for $196,659: The Indian pro - winner of the 2025 Asian Poker Tour Championship Main Event - finally has a WSOP bracelet to add to a trophy cabinet packed with the spoils of his many victories across Asia.

The man from Mumbai defeated Taiwan's Chung-Tang Lin heads-up to seal the deal.

Alexander Kostritsyn wins $25K High Roller HORSE ($872,052): He beat Ali Eslami heads-up to claim his first WSOP Bracelet.

$5K 8-Handed NLH – Phil Hellmuth eliminated in second ($464,286): He couldn't quite believe it at the end as he shook hands with Darren Rabinowitz. So close for Hellmuth in one of the final events of the 2026 WSOP. It's Rabinowitz's second WSOP bracelet.

$25K HORSE – Naoya Kihara eliminated in third ($394,433): He couldn't find his third bracelet of the summer, but it's been an incredible WSOP for the immensely likeable player. He's also top of the Player of the Year leaderboard. Hopefully we see him in The Bahamas in December.
