Livschitz still leads in a tightly packed final stretch

Victoria Livschitz Victoria Livschitz remains the Day 1C chip leader despite plenty of challengers tonight

For the first time in the WSOPC Planet Hollywood Main Event, we're going to Level 16 with blinds of 4,000 / 8,000 (8,000) as 50 players remain, with 44 advancing to Day 2.

After a wild last three levels that saw multiple players make a run at the chip lead and the top half of the remaining field draw closer together, Victoria Livschitz has regained her chip lead with 560,000 chips.

Robert Sellers Robert Sellers

Robert Sellers has made a run to become her closest competition as he now has 540,000. From there, a plethora of players are between 300,000 and 500,000.

You can see the updated top ten under the 'chip counts' tab above.

Play now continues until six more players are eliminated to set the final field of 101 for Day 2.

It's gonna be a wild finish to Day 1C

We're in for some kind of finish to Day 1C of the Main Event as Level 15 nears its close.

The first two starting flights ended in this level, but that certainly won't be happening tonight with ten more eliminations still needed from the 54 players left.

On top of that, there is no longer a clear chip leader, as Victoria Livschitz and others who've been at or near the top of the counts have been joined by many more.

In fact, we counted no less than 20 players with stacks between 300,000 and 500,000, so stay tuned at the next break in 15 minutes to see who's actually leading the final sprint to those 44 precious seats in Day 2.

One for Becker

Jeremy Becker Jeremy Becker

It wouldn't be a Las Vegas poker tournament without an appearance from Jeremy Becker.

The young phenom is making a strong push for Day 2 with 60 players remaining in tonight's field and 44 moving on.

In a recent pot at 3,000 / 5,000 (5,000), he defended his big blind to a min raise from Joonhee Yea in the cutoff.

The duo checked the , leading to the turn, which Becker bet 21,000 on. Yea called, and the river completed the board.

Becker now fired 33,000, which got a fold from his opponent to send his stack across the 200,000 chip mark.

  • Jeremy Becker - 230,000
  • Joonhee Yea - 105,000
