Hamid Izadi wins the WSOPC Cherokee Main Event ($332,405)

After a brief but action-packed final table, Hamid Izadi has emerged victorious in the WSOPC Cherokee Main Event. Izadi defeated Louis George heads-up to win his third WSOP Circuit Main Event and claim his tenth overall Circuit Ring.

Hamid Izadi opened to 800,000 on the button, and Louis George three-bet to 3,500,000 from the big blind. Izadi shoved, covering George, who had around 20,000,000 to start the hand.  George called, putting himself at risk.

Izadi was a big favorite, needing to fade one overcard with his pocket eights. George picked up a ton of outs after the flop gave him a double-gutshot, a flush draw, and a live ace. Izadi faded roughly half the deck as the rest of the board ran out , securing the victory.

"You had me at hello," Izadi jokingly replied as he took the pot.
