After a successful, record-setting run in 2025, the PokerStars live events calendar for 2026 will kick off with the return of PokerStars Open Campione. From January 23 to February 1, the Casinò di Campione will play host to a week-long slate of tournaments – headlined by the €1,100 PokerStars Open Main Event with a €1M guaranteed prize pool – as the series welcomes players from Italy, Europe, and beyond.
Additionally, PokerStars Open Campione will serve as the launching point for the 2026 PokerStars Live League.
Schedule highlights and Live League launch
Amongst the tournament schedule, there are a few standout events that you should take note of if you're considering a trip to Campione:
- €2,200 PokerStars Open High Roller, January 27-28
- €1,100 PokerStars Open Main Event, January 28 - February 1 (€1M GTD)
- €550 PokerStars Open Second Chance, January 30 - February 1
- €5,000 PokerStars Open Super High Roller, January 31

In 2025, the PokerStars Open Campione marked PokerStars return to Italian shores after a six-year hiatus from the country. The Main Event drew the largest-ever field at a standalone PokerStars festival in Italy, garnering 2,423 entries from 50 countries. Romanian Adrian-Sorel State rose above the field to claim the event's maiden trophy and the €363,000 first-place prize.
The series in Campione also offers the first opportunity of the year to secure valuable points for the 2026 PokerStars Live League. If you're looking to follow Enrico Camosci, Gerard Rubiralta Cortes, and Steinn Thanh Du Karlsson as winners of the 2025 PokerStars Live League leaderboards, it's important to start the year strong with results in Italy.
While Camosci, Cortes, and Karlsson finished atop the High, Medium, and Low Leaderboards respectively to claim the various prize packages, all players who finished in the Top 10 of each leaderboard are still in the running for the year-long PokerStars ambassadorship.
“The PokerStars Open tour enjoyed an outstanding season last year, with strong fields and fantastic energy from players at every stop, and Campione kicked off the tour with a record-breaking bang,” said Cédric Billot, Associate Director of Live Events Operations at PokerStars. “The response from players was incredible, and we’re excited to start the new season by building on that momentum.”
