As its 20th anniversary approaches in 2026, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) will return to the island of Jeju in South Korea to kickstart the new year in celebration of its achievement. From January 30 to February 8, the APT Jeju Classic will run in partnership with LES A Casino at the Jeju Shinhwa Resort. In a manner befitting the tour's milestone, the Jeju Classic will provide a "heightened festival experience," across the 99 events on the schedule.
With a total of ~$3.4M in guaranteed prize pools – headlined by the ~$1,600 buy-in Main Event which boasts a ~$1.5M guarantee – the Jeju Classic promises to launch the tour's season in style.
When the APT last rolled into Jeju, Singapore's Abraham Ceesvin rose above a massive field to claim the 24K Gold Lion APT Main Event Trophy and the first-place prize of ~$464,170 – the largest top prize awarded in an APT Main Event on Korean soil. Additionally, the tournament set the current in-country record for both field size and total prize pool.
With the historic prior turnout and the momentum of the tour's Championship stop in Taipei to bolster attendance, the APT hopes to build on its success in 2026.
APT Jeju Classic schedule highlights
While the Main Event stands as the crown jewel in the APT Jeju Classic crown, there are a number of events with similarly juicy guarantees – including the ~$10,200 buy-in APT Super High Roller and ~$3,400 buy-in APT High Roller with ~$340K and ~$476K guarantees, respectively. High stakes enthusiasts can also look forward to the ~$24K buy-in Superstar Challenge.
Other marquee events on the schedule include the APT National Cup, the Natural8 Mystery Bounty, the Natural8 Zodiac Classic, the Mini Main, and the Ultra Stack.
Throughout the festival, several key events will also award seats to the 2026 APT Championship Main Event, providing pathways to the tour's most prestigious event later in the year.
