Marcos Kenne made quick work of the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSPO) Millions Championship final table after he entered the final day with a massive chip lead. The Brazilian dominated the final nine in Sao Paulo to win $369K and his first major poker title.
Kenne beat a field of 503 entries and a final table that included Portugal's Joao Vieira. Vieira entered the final day in the middle of the pack but early trouble led to an eighth-place exit.
Easy game for Kenne
The day started out with tough sailing for Vieira when he called the shove of Pedro Goncalves with ace-king. Goncalves turned over queens and the board didn't help Vieira avoid being left with just a couple of big blinds.
Vieira danced through a few doubles and jumped up a rung on the payout ladder when Diego Ventura bowed out ahead of him. Goncalves finished Vieira a short time later in eighth place.
Breno Drumond and Rafael Mota were the next to go and Kenne led the final five players with more than half the chips in play. Kenne knocked out Blas Torres in fifth and Goncalves took care of Murilo Milhomem in fourth to set up three-handed play with Denny Ramos. Ramos got his short stack in quickly and was the third elimination over three straight hands.
Goncalves faced an impossible deficit in heads-up play, but he showed some life with a few early pots and a double. He got it in with ace-four, but Kenne's eight-seven finished off a dominating performance.

More to come from Brazil
There is plenty more to come from Sao Paulo this week with the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) Main Event playing down to a final table on Wednesday and a winner on Thursday. The event drew 3,093 entries and 75 were remaining after Day 3 on Monday night with Mauricio Parodi holding a chip lead over Arthur Barreto.
Meanwhile, PokerOrg's own PokerLlama and Conrad Simpson have been covering the BSOP on their first trip to Brazil. The Championship is wrapped up and the series is in its final days. Surely they wouldn't be out partying until 6 am.
