Let's get one thing clear off the bat: I'm going to win this contest. Let's get that out of the way. I'm going to win, but I can't win the prize. Why?
Because the prize is a $5,000 Main Event package to the Moneymaker Tour's stop in Aruba. Yeah, that's my tour, and it would look sorta weird if I won PokerOrg's WSOP Pick 3 Fantasy contest and then took the prize for myself.
But that doesn't mean I'm not going to pick a team to prove that I would win if I were eligible.
If you want to win, I'd suggest you just tail my picks and try to win the tiebreaker. Or if you think you are smarter than me, go pick on your own.
Now, without further ado...here's my winning team.
Pick 1: Alex Foxen
First of all, this man is a giant. He was a D1 college football tight end before he became a world-class poker player with so many millions in winnings that it's embarrassing.
Beyond his obvious talent, his time crushing on the world stage, and getting to live with another elite poker mind, he's having a ridiculously good 2026 World Series of Poker. There is a chance he could end up being WSOP Player of the Year. As of this writing, on the evening of July 4, Foxen has a slim lead for POY over Shaun Deeb. He might be the easiest pick of the year, and that's why he's first on the roster for me.
Pick 2: Michael Mizrachi
Another easy pick. Michael Mizrachi earned his nickname, Grinder, because the dude will just grind anybody down. This year, he entered an elite club of World Series of Poker players who have won nine or more WSOP bracelets. And the bracelets he's won? Well, they aren't cheapies.
Let's just point out the obvious: The Grinder won last year's WSOP Main Event. He's the defending champion, and he is no stranger to going back-to-back. He's also the defending WSOP PLO champion. Oh, and he's sort of elite when it comes to playing the Poker Players Championship, arguably the toughest tournament in the world.

Pick 3: Me!
If you can't bet on yourself, what are you even doing sitting down in the game?
If you've made it this far, you know who I am. And if you're even thinking about bringing up the fact that I didn't last in last year's Main Event long enough to even finish a Coke Zero, put PokerOrg's Lefty on your team. Good luck with that. If I don't outlast Lefty, I'm never going to hear the end of it, so that's some extra motivation.
