Online poker site CoinPoker is rolling out the next steps in its reward program after a recent relaunch of its mobile app and client, promising upgrades to CoinRaces, splash pots, and more than 100% rakeback at microstakes.

The new system, dubbed CoinRewards, will offer a flat daily reward of 15%, paid directly into players’ accounts.

The recent relaunch packed in several new features, like a rakeback promotion that returned 100% of the March take in different forms. Players could dip into direct rakeback with bonus payouts from leaderboards and splashed pots, where money is added to random pots on cash game tables.

Program sheds light on rake debate

But CoinPoker's March rake promotion drew some blowback with some confusing communication.

Players assumed a direct 100% rakeback payment into their accounts. In reality, the offer was initially split in two: a straight rakeback payout for the first half of March, followed by a second phase where rewards were distributed via splash pots and leaderboards.

CoinPoker later responded to feedback by reverting to straight 100% rakeback throughout March.

CoinPoker also revealed that the rake cap would increase at the end of the March promotion.

Mario Mosböck, an ambassador for the site, said the news could have been better communicated to the community

“Obviously, any rake increase will always face backlash, and I think the issue from CoinPoker’s side was not addressing how it will operate in the future."

Mario Mosbock Triton Poker Jeju 2025 Mosböck has pushed for player feedback to improve CoinPoker's rakeback system.

What was missing from the rake debate at the time were the details of CoinPoker's rewards program, which we now have. The company outlined the new direction in a post on X:

"Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working on the next step for rewards on CoinPoker, with player input playing a key role in how we’ve built it."

The new program has three main features, CoinRaces, Splash Pots, and Daily Rewards.

  • CoinRaces will now distribute $1,000,000 every week, with rewards dropping every two hours.
  • 'Infused Splash' will add $500,000 every week to the existing Splash the Pot ecosystem.
  • Daily Rewards will pay out 15% of rake directly into player accounts.

The new CoinRaces format will spread out the rewards and pay players more consistently, responding to the criticism that the previous rewards program was too focused on a small pool of players. Splash the Pot also takes on a new form, turning a player-funded bonus into a real reward with Mega Splashes that can hit for up to 1,000 Big Blinds.

Microstakes: more than 100% rakeback

On top of everything is a commitment to continue a payout of more than 100% of rakeback on microstakes games, where all fees are distributed back into the player pool.

"CoinPoker won’t take a cut and will keep adding extra money to the microstakes ecosystem. We want poker to grow and for players at every level to have a real path to climb through the stakes. New players are the most important, and we want them to have a real shot, so we aim to be your partner in making this as easy as possible."

And finally, CoinPoker will continue its rollout with the High Stakes Poker Rewards program later this week. It's aimed at the $50/100 level and above, where "pro battles will have minimal cost, and action players may receive more than 100% back via custom rewards."

It's a sound step forward for the online site, which remains receptive and responsive to ongoing player feedback.

"Finding the right balance across all stakes and player types requires continuous refinement, and we will keep adjusting where needed. Our priority is to make sure all players feel heard and valued and that the system evolves in a way that is fair and sustainable. Your feedback is a key part of this."
