This hand occurred during the 2024 WSOP-C at the Commerce Casino and Hotel in Los Angeles on May 20 between Christina (baby shark) Gollins and Weiqiang Zhao.
This pivotal hand occurred during a heads-up battle at the final table of the $600 Housewarming Event with 1,483 runners. Gollins was stacked with 6.9M chips and 22 big blinds, and Zhao sat with 29M chips and 97 big blinds. The blinds sat at 150,000/300,000 with a 300,000 big blind ante.

In the video above, Gollins talks through the hand moment-to-moment, providing exclusive insight into the thought process of an up-and-coming tournament professional and grinder.
Who is Christina Gollins?
The 2022 WSOP $1,000 NLH Ladies event was the first time poker fans worldwide would come to know and love ‘baby shark.’ Gollins marched to the final table with a wild and wooly aggressive style with a bit of snark thrown in for good measure. Gollins would eventually finish third for $73,604 and the second biggest cash of her burgeoning poker career.
Gollins had proven she had mad game earlier in the year with a deep finish at the 2022 Venetian’s Deep Stack Extravaganza by banking $83,847 for fourth. Over the next two years, she would find ways to be in contention during numerous events.
A few deep runs include wins at the $360 NLH Ladies 2024 Nevada State Ladies Poker Championship and her first WSOP Circuit ring at a $400 WSOP NLH event in 2021 at The Bicycle Casino.
Gollins is genuinely humble yet outspoken and driven, which has served her well during her meteoric rise on the felt. A few short years after leaving big paycheck corporate America, her poker dream of becoming a successful professional is coming to fruition. Poker peers and fans expect big things in her future, no more than Gollins expects from herself.
