'Best fold of my life' helps Gollins to $105k win at WSOP-C Commerce

Christina 'Baby Shark' Gollins has won her second WSOP Circuit ring, and $105,444, in the WSOP-C Commerce Casino's $600 Housewarming Event. And to do so she had to navigate a hand that would have likely sent many to the rail.

With just three players remaining and blinds at 150k/300k, Gollins raised to 700k from the button holding . A 3-bet to 1.7m from John Solis was quickly followed by a 4-bet shove from Weiqiang Zhao, who had both players covered.

What would you do?

Gollins would have been forgiven for spending some time in the tank, but only thought for a moment before sending her cards to the muck with the comment, "This is gonna be the best fold of my f*cking life". And she was right. Solis called for his stack of 8.7m and showed , while Zhao turned over with a grimace, which soon turned to a smile and a fist-pump when the flop brought a third queen.

Solis couldn't catch the case king and bowed out in third, taking the bad beat with good grace - particularly as we understand this was his first live cash - along with a check for $49,839.

A strong finish after the hero fold

That left Gollins at a significant chip disadvantage, but an early double-up and some strong play saw her regain top spot before getting it all-in against Zhao with the slenderest of leads.

Gollins limped on the button with , inducing Zhao to shove with the marginally worse hand of . The flop left Zhao with plenty of catching up to do, but the on the turn put the hand, and the tournament, to bed.
