In a recent Ask Me Anything thread on Reddit, Daniel Negreanu responded to questions on everything from his hair transplant and most haunting hand to his net worth ("No idea") — and, importantly, Game of Gold Season 2.
Unfortunately, for fans of the show, what he said wasn't very positive.
"Unfortunately, I don't see it happening — but who knows, that could change," he answered. "I thought it was great stuff."
The GGPoker ambassador appeared in Season 1 of Game of Gold, which debuted to widespread acclaim. And if anyone would know whether a second season was in the pipeline, it would be Negreanu.

Game of Gold stock plummets
Game of Gold brought a new twist to televised poker by blending reality TV elements with creative, poker-themed competitions. During the show's run, audiences responded positively and with feedback for an expected Season 2.
With Game of Gold's overnight popularity, so came the accolades. The GPI Award of Merit came in January of 2024, and a month later, the reunion show (linked below) aired, and at the close of the proceedings host Jeff Platt had news to share. "Season 2 of Game of Gold is official," he announced.
Platt told viewers that filming for Season 2 had "already started" — but over a year later, fans are still waiting. And according to Negreanu, it may never come.
