Online poker giant GGPoker has gone live with a new feature called Action Voice, which offers the chance to hear your actions at the table announced verbally using a choice of different voices.
The voice options include prominent GGPoker ambassadors such as Daniel Negreanu, Michael Mizrachi, Kevin Martin and Greg Goes All-in. Also available is the voice of the late Doyle Brunson. A number of other, generic voices can also be selected.
Once enabled, your Action Voice will vocalize your gameplay choices including Call, Check, Raise, Bet, All-in and Straddle.
Action Voice is not enabled by default; to select your preferred voice and activate it head to Settings (or ‘My Page’ on desktop) and find the Action Voice setting.
The new feature is available on both desktop and mobile, and in cash games and tournaments.
Another UI twist
In a market where gameplay innovations are hard to come by and often imitated — see fast fold poker, lottery sit & go’s and mystery bounties — GGPoker is notable for attempting to freshen up its user interface (UI) with original twists such as Action Voice.
While some may consider these additions to be ‘gimmicks’, options such as ‘rabbit-hunting’ (viewing undealt hole cards after a hand ends before the river) or ‘peeling’ your virtual hole cards by slowly swiping the screen, can create a more enjoyable and memorable experience for those looking for something a little different.
As with these other features, Action Voice is optional and can be toggled on and off in the GGPoker client.
If this new idea speaks to you, Action Voice is available now at GGPoker.
