Is there any better feeling in poker than flopping a set in a four-bet pot? How about when the turn rolls off a brick and your opponent moves all-in while stone drawing dead?

It depends on who you ask, but after his performance on the Hustler Casino Live High Stakes Friday game Doug Polk would likely agree. Nik 'Airball' Arcot would likely agree as well, although this time around he was on the losing end of the situation – to the tune of $686,200. While there's not much to analyze in the hand, the sheer boldness of Arcot's play, combined with the dollar amount involved and the table talk that came in the aftermath, makes this pot a perfect choice for PokerOrg's Hand of the Week.

'Got him!'

In the face of a limp from the player on his right, Arcot opted to raise to $3,000 with . When the action folded to Polk, he looked down at and bumped it up to $11,000. Peter cold-called behind with and, with the action back on him, Arcot cut out a four-bet to $61,000. With a little more than $325,000 remaining in his stack, Polk was in an awkward spot.

Could his opponent be blasting off in hopes of earning a stand-up game button? Or, was this move always for value? With Arcot, all options were on the table.

After a moment or two of consideration, Polk landed on a call and Peter left the two to battle it out on their own. The flop was surely a welcome sight for the Upswing Poker founder – made even more welcome as Arcot fired a $50,000 continuation bet. In a Rounders-esque moment, Polk let his opponent think he was pondering a call before eventually doing so.

With $234,200 in the middle, the turn was a complete brick. Polk had a little over a pot-sized bet remaining in front of him and Arcot wasted no time in verbally announcing his all-in.

"Call," Polk said with no hesitation as he turned over his holding.

Arcot sent his cards into the muck as soon as he saw Polk's hand and the meaningless river completed the board.

"I can never book a win," Arcot muttered.

"Got him!" Polk said as he high-fived with another player at the table.

"Nice hand, Doug," Arcot said with resignation in his voice.

"I love coming out to LA," Polk told the table.

An honorable mention

While it didn't quite make the cut for Hand of the Week, an honorable mention must be given to a hand played between Ryan DePaulo and Linus Loeliger in a $50/$100 game on CoinPoker.

It's the kind of hand that leaves you scratching your head and second-guessing everything you know about poker – check out the video below.
