All joking aside, a mega-celebrity on Jenner's level promoting and introducing new audiences to poker is only good for the game.
We're not guaranteeing Jenner's video will spark the next poker boom, but if even a small fraction of her nearly half a billion followers (a combined tally across Instagram, TikTok, and X) take up an interest in the game then we're all for it.
And we're not the only ones who think so. Adam Levy went as far to say this is "a massive moment for poker."
Phil Hellmuth, as positive as ever, endorsed Jenner's tutorial.
'That's when I became obsessed'
In the opening frames, Jenner explains that she discovered poker "two years ago on a friend trip." After learning the basics from her pals, the reality television star turned makeup mogul began to watch tournaments. (Side note: someone at PokerGO should really check to see if she's a subscriber, that might be the easiest $99.99 they ever make.)
"And that's when I became obsessed," she says.
It's around this time – though likely sooner – that you might notice Jenner's outfit choice. Fear not, no scandal here. It's just her "normal poker outfit."
Jenner goes on to explain the hand rankings in Texas hold'em and then plays out a sample hand. While it's not the highest level poker tutorial available to new players, she gets the ball rolling.
"The more you play, the better you get. It's true," she concludes. "That is poker with Kylie. What I like to call, hot girl poker."
