The latest stop in the World Poker Tour's popular WPT Prime series has resulted in a new record turnout for a WPT Prime main event and a career-best live payday for Hungary's David Kozma, the winner of the event. Kozma, from Budapest, Hungary, triumphed over a 1,644-entry field in the WPT Prime Liechtenstein main, earning $300,541 for the win.
The big score was easily the largest of Kozma's live career and nearly tripled his career earnings to date. The Hungarian national has played extensively in the US in recent years, and his previous largest cash was a runner-up showing in a 2022 Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Winter Poker Open event that was worth $105,000.
Kozma eliminated Switzerland's Marc Sen (second, $193,200) to secure the largest victory of his career. The complete results for the six-player final table were as follows:
- David Kozma (Hungary) - $300,541
- Marc Sen (Switzerland) - $193,200
- Lukas Pazma (Slovakia) - $143,360
- Alessandro Pischierri (Italy) - $107,296
- Carlos Henningsen (Canada) - $80,976
- Faton Berisha (Switzerland) - $61,824
The turnout for the main event at the Grand Casino Liechtenstein in Gamprin-Bendern continued a solid run for the growing Prime tour, which has eclipsed its own main-event turnout record for the fourth time in 2023, beginning with the Prime WPT Paris main in February. Late this month, the WPT Prime tour visits Casino Gran Ma in Madrid, Spain for its final series before the season-ending WPT Championships in Las Vegas in December.
