Rising star Landon Tice has joined the ranks of poker pros currently under contract with online sites by inking a deal with grey-market site Ignition Casino. Tice and Ignition jointly announced the deal earlier today, with the 23-year-old Tice sharing the news on Twitter, sans his already-famous long locks:
Tice, originally of Boca Raton, Florida, and now a full-time Las Vegas-based pro, has logged numerous major results over the past couple of the years in both live and online events. In less than two years of live-tourney record tracking, he's already amassed more than $516,000 in winnings, according to the Hendon Mob database.
Tice's largest live score to date is a $201,000 victory in a Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza event in November 2020. Tice also just missed collecting his first WSOP bracelet last July, when he finished as the runner-up in a WSOP Online event.
Tice will provide streaming and content creation for Ignition
According to an Ignition press release, Tice will aid the PaiWangLuo Network site, which is part of the Bodog/Bovada brand family, with live streaming from online poker events and appearing in the company’s video content and marketing efforts. It's not the first industry-side deal for Tice, who is already an instructor for the Solve For Why academy.
Tice will also represent Ignition at live events this summer in Las Vegas. He's likely to appear in multiple tourneys at several of the city's major tournament venues.
“I’m thrilled to work with Ignition Casino to amplify the awareness of their already extensive online poker offering and to help build the brand’s exposure throughout the US,” Tice said. “I’ve played on Ignition Casino since the start of my online poker career. The company does a great job keeping the player experience top of mind while providing a safe and reliable platform for online players to chase their poker dream.”
Ignition also noted in its announcement that Tice has already garnered a large fan following and his appeal spreads across multiple demographics. Tice is one of the few very young American poker pros to have inked a significant brand-representative deal in recent years, as many sites have opted for somewhat older players with longer track records. Should Tice be able to continue at his current rate of success, however, he'll certainly be a strong addition to the Ignition brand.
