It's been a great summer for Daniel Negreanu.
The soon-to-be father ended the 2026 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas showing a profit of $1,693,518 and notched his eighth gold bracelet in the process.
And, to top it all off, he won his own $25K WSOP Fantasy competition in spite of a major setback due to Ben Lamb's absence from the series – leaving him with only seven outlets to accrue points.
The rest of Negreanu's draft picks, himself included, picked up the slack to deliver the $250,000 first-place prize.
The A-Team
Josh Arieh led the fantasy squad with 356 total points, the bulk of which came thanks to runner-up finishes in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship and the $10,000 HORSE Championship. Negreanu's bracelet win in the $100,000 High Roller PLO netted him a sizable point haul, which, in addition to his 14 other cashes, proved a point he made in the wake of the draft.
"I'm a good horse,” Negreanu told us at the time. “My floor is quite high, my ceiling's high too. I'm going to get you something – it's a safe, solid pick."
Nick Pupillo, Bryn Kenney, and Dong Chen pulled their collective weight with a combined 28 cashes, the largest of which came in Chen's victory in the $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship.
Jason Koon and Eli Elezra didn't bag as many points for the team, but they certainly made an impact at a relatively inexpensive price point of only $1 apiece.
Negreanu's savvy picks and skills on the felt netted him the Fantasy payday, but that's not the only bet he made on himself. In his first vlog of the summer, Negreanu expressed his confidence in the team – through a number of side bets.
"I like the team. LFG," Negreanu told the camera, weeks ago. "And look at this lineup of people waiting to bet me more money because they think my team sucks."
It's safe to say that those bets, however large they were, paid off.
The grind doesn't stop
In his final summer series vlog installment, you might expect Negreanu to take a day off to bask in the glory of his wins on and off the felt. No. Instead, he made his final drive-in to the halls of the Horseshoe and Paris casinos to battle it out in the $1,000 Super Turbo NLH.
"Who loves it more, y'all?" asked Chino Rheem during a brief cameo appearance.
In the end, Negreanu had to settle for a min-cash, but spirits were high as he made the final post-bustout walk. On his way out, Negreanu dropped a teaser of sorts.
"I got a lot going on. I can't tell you some stuff, but it's really cool," he said. "Yeah, can't tell you everything!"
Negreanu's vlogs are on ice for now – but will return come December when the action picks up at WSOP Paradise in The Bahamas.
