The ninth episode in the fifth season of No Gamble, No Future aired Wednesday night on PokerGO, bringing back the same cast of characters from episode eight for more $100/$100/$100 BBA action.
Jimmy D'Ambrosio played table captain once again, joined by Jared Bleznick, Sashimi Poker, Alexander 'Wolfgang Poker' Seibt, Humboldt Mike, Markus Gonsalves, and Randy '3Coin' Sadler.
Pass the Pain
Early in the episode, Sashimi took to the No Gamble, No Future Wheel of Pain after winning a monster pot against Humboldt Mike. The arrow landed on the "Pass the Pain" option and D'Ambrosio took the initiative, volunteering himself for the task.
The wheel settled on the "Big Reveal Button" option and D'Ambrosio won the opportunity to use the power-up to see one of his opponent's cards in any heads-up pot. Coincidentally, Sashimi was the player at the table already in possession of the button and she had to relinquish her unused advantage.
The Big Reveal
D'Ambrosio, having seen the peril of waiting too long to use the power-up, put his Big Reveal Button to work in a hand against Sadler later in the episode. Sadler limped in with from early position while the $200 straddle was on before D'Ambrosio kicked it up to $1,100 with and about $30,000 in his stack.
Bleznick picked the wrong time to get cheeky and re-raised again from the button, bumping it up to $3,300 with . Sadler stuck to his plan and completed his limp-call strategy, but D'Ambrosio wasn't finished raising – he put in another bet, bumping the stakes to $9,900. Bleznick mucked his hand, but Sadler called once more.
With $23,600 in the middle and less than a pot-sized bet left behind, D'Ambrosio wasn't thrilled to see the flop and, following a check from Sadler, stood up to make an announcement.
"Here's our PokerGO No Gamble, No Future moment. I'd like to use my button," said D'Ambrosio as he reached for one of Sadler's cards. Jimmy D flipped over Sadler's and checked the action through.
Sadler shoves
The turn brought in the to make the board even more connected and Sadler checked once more. With his opponent feigning weakness, D'Ambrosio took the bait and bet out for $6,000. After a few seconds, Sadler declared: "I'm all-in."
Brent Hanks and Jeff Platt went wild in the commentary booth as D'Ambrosio weighed his options. Eventually, he made the call and declared his desire to run it twice. Sadler agreed and the two players saw the fall on the first river – no improvement for D'Ambrosio.
The second river would need to come a king for D'Ambrosio to chop the pot, but the dealer rolled off the to improve Sadler to the top end of the on-board straight. To make matters worse, D'Ambrosio thought the card saved him some money before realizing Sadler's – the card that started it all – secured him the scoop.
