GGPoker has announced a shakeup to its player rewards program. Ocean Rewards – set to launch on the site on January 30 – presents users of the site with a brand-new player loyalty system.
Ocean Rewards will replace the existing Fish Buffet program and usher in a new focus on value for players, simplicity, and stability for the long term.
Through Ocean Rewards, you have the chance to earn up to 80% cashback – a sizable jump from the prior 60% cap – and will move away from complicated short-term goals to a format that rewards consistency over a longer stretch of time. As part of the revamp, all players will receive a free promotion to a higher tier of rewards.
Key benefits and transition process
There are three key benefits that highlight the Ocean Rewards system:
- Higher Cashback: You can now receive up to 80% cashback, with improved rates available across all tiers.
- Guaranteed Yearly Status: Ocean Rewards allows you to lock in your tier status until the end of the next year – providing greater stability and peace of mind.
- Simplified Earning: Earn Tide Points and Gems through play. As you reach higher tiers – ranging from Fish to Shark – the rate at which you earn Gems increases.
In terms of the transition process for existing players, it couldn't be easier. On January 30, the transition from Fish Buffet to Ocean Rewards will be automatic – you do not need to take any action to opt in. If you have existing Fish Buffet rewards, they will be automatically cashed out to your player balance and all accounts will be upgrade to their new Ocean Rewards tier.
