Since PokerStars launched its annual Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) in 2009, it’s become one of the most played — and most prestigious — online tournament series in the world.
And following the victory of 'nomalice' in event 40-M, the $109 medium buy-in Sunday Million, it’s added to its legendary status by crossing the $1.5 billion mark in total prize money paid.
The two-day event drew a field of 8,017, with the winner banking $85,597 for a memorable result — and one which tipped the scales over the landmark $1.5B threshold for PokerStars' SCOOP as a whole.
If you’re looking to join 'nomalice' in the winners’ circle, don’t forget to check out the PokerOrg Pick 3 satellites at PokerStars.
Running each Saturday at 12:30pm ET until March 21, these satellites feature added seats to the $109 SCOOP Low Main Event. If you submitted a team to our Pick 3 for SCOOP 2026 contest and included your PokerStars username, you’ll be automatically added to a prize draw for free tickets. Direct entry is also available for $5.50.
SCOOP in numbers
Ahead of the start of SCOOP 2026 the series had already produced an impressive set of stats.
- 14: Most wins, by Simon ‘C. Darwin2’ Mattsson
- 1,231: Different events
- 3,680: Separate tournaments
- 144,715,424: Total entries
- $227,004,607: Paid out to first-place prize winners
- $1,485,704,101: Total prize money
Just how long Mattsson can keep his spot at the top of the SCOOP winners’ list is a matter for debate. Benny ‘RunGodlike’ Glaser closed the gap with his 12th SCOOP title last week, while other contenders such as Jerry ‘Perrymejsen’ Odeen and Patrick ‘pads1161’ Leonard have also recorded more tournament wins in the past few days.
Check the full SCOOP 2026 schedule for your next opportunity to leave your mark on this epic annual series, running at PokerStars until March 25.
