There's still more than a week's worth of action to play in the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), but Simon 'C. Darwin2' Mattsson has already set himself apart with a hat trick of victories.
Mattsson secured his third title of the series with a win in Event 58-H: $1,500 NLHE Progressive Knockout – earning himself a $28,209 payday.
With his most recent victory, Mattsson's tally of SCOOP titles now sits at 12 and sees him leading the all-time SCOOP winners leaderboard – just one ahead of Benny Glaser.
It's been more than a decade since Mattsson collected his first SCOOP title back in 2012, but in the years since then he has added heavily to his resume. Since 2020, Mattsson has accumulated 10 titles across a variety of formats.

Team Tonkaaaa picks up big points in SCOOP League
For PokerStars Team Pro Parker 'Tonkaaaa' Talbot, Mattsson's third title of the series came as a form of relief as his team has struggled thus far in the SCOOP League standings.
While Team Tonkaaaa continues to languish at the bottom of the leaderboard, Mattsson's most recent title – and Strebkov's win in Event 57-L: $55 FL 2-7 Triple Draw – provided valuable points for the team. It's no doubt an uphill battle for Team Tonkaaaa, but if his players continue this recent run of form anything can happen.
