As soccer fans across the world delight in the ongoing competition across North America, PokerStars players can get in on the fun – and claim their share of $100,000 in prizes – through SpinGoal

From now until July 9, SpinGoal elevates the traditional Spin & Go format by introducing a squad of 26 collectible players and one coach which can be collected by playing Spin & Gos – every squad member collected brings you closer to scoring a prize

In order to take part, you must opt-in to the SpinGoal Puzzle via the in-client Challenges window. After that, all you have to do is play Spin & Go tournaments – available in both no-limit hold'em and pot-limit Omaha, with buy-ins ranging from $0.50 to $1,000 and randomly drawn prize pools that can reach as high as $1,000,000

For US-based players, PokerStars on Fanduel is offering up a Spin & Go competition with a potential $1,000,000 top prize.

SpinGoal PokerStars SpinGoal brings soccer's biggest stage onto the PokerStars virtual tables.

“As someone who loves playing Spin & Go's, this is a really fun twist on a format players already love and adds to the excitement of the packed summer of matches,” said PokerStars Ambassador Nick Walsh. "SpinGoal is fast, fun, and ideal for football fans who love poker and I'll definitely be jumping onto the SpinGoal felt between matches."

The Ambassador squads

In celebration of the SpinGoal promotion, PokerOrg asked a few of the PokerStars Ambassadors to assemble their dream team five-a-side lineups – but using poker players to build out their squads.

Team Nick Walsh

Nick Walsh PokerStars Nick Walsh wants Joe Stapleton as his team's mascot – but that might be a hard sell for the funny man.
  1. Benjamin 'Spraggy' Spragg: I know he absolutely loves football and we're already on the same Team Pro squad – he's got to go in the team.

  2. Joe Bold: He's an athletic guy. I don't know if he plays football, but I like him a lot and he's a good friend of mine so he's in there.

  3. Patrik Antonius: I don't know him personally, but he's an absolute beast and I think he'd be the muscle on our team.

  4. Sam Grafton: I think he's the most knowledgable football person I know so he's going to be our coach.

  5. Joe Stapleton: Every team needs a mascot.

Team Sebastian Huber

Sebastian Huber PokerStars Sebastian Huber backs himself for the captain's armband on his five-a-side team – despite Neymar Jr's inclusion in the squad.

  1. Benjamin 'Spraggy' Spragg, Goalkeeper: A goalkeeper needs presence, and Spraggy has plenty of it. Not only does his height help between the posts, but his constant random and hilarious comments will distract the opposition all game long. A true entertainer and the perfect man to guard the net.

  2. Nick Walsh, Defender: Nick anchors the defense. As a Spin & Go specialist, he's used to handling pressure and making tough decisions when it matters most. He's also strong and competitive, making him the ideal player to keep the opposition attackers quiet.

  3. Sebastian Huber, Captain: Every team needs a leader. I'll take the captain's armband, organize the team on the pitch, keep everyone working together, and make sure morale stays high when things get tough.

  4. Jason Koon, Forward: An easy pick. Jason is a genuine athlete and the kind of player everyone wants on their team. He's a killer on the poker felt, and I have no doubt he'll be just as ruthless in front of goal. Our main goal scorer.

  5. Neymar Jr., Wildcard Star: I've always wanted to play alongside a football superstar, and Neymar happens to enjoy poker as well. With his skill, creativity, and flair, he'd bring something special to the team. And honestly, when else am I going to get the chance to put Neymar in my five-a-side team?
