The WPT Prime UK Championship concluded today at Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club after a three-day grind to crown a winner. 274 entrants ponied up the £1,100 buy-in to generate a prize pool of £260,000 with 35 places paid and £57,660, plus a £10,000 WPT World Championship package, for the eventual winner.
When the dust settled in Nottingham, Tim Chung stood alone atop the podium of finishers, beating out Vincent Meli in the heads-up stage of play to claim the WPT Prime UK Championship title.
Chung and Meli were joined at the final table by Francois Tosques, Arron Pointon, Mingrui Chen, Jason Riley, Christopher Johnson, Chase Wilson, and Iulian Petrut-Petrache. It took more than seven hours to determine the winner, with all players battling to the best of their abilities to claim the top spot. After starting the day with the chip lead, Chung managed to outlast and outmaneuver the remaining players to earn his first-ever WPT Prime title.
The entirety of the final table streamed live on the Dusk Till Dawn YouTube channel and the replay remains available for those who want to watch every second of the action.
