There’s nothing quite like a sun run in poker.

In fact, we can go further – there’s nothing better than a sun run on Day 2 of a big buy-in Mystery Bounty, like the $40K Triton.

It was the turn of Alisson Piekazewicz to ride the rays in Jeju on Friday, and he steamrollered the field to win his first trophy, the $709,000 first prize, and a whopping 14 bounties that he'll get to pull on Saturday.

Each bounty is worth a minimum of $40,000, meaning he’s guaranteed at least another $560,000 – with the potential for much more.

After beating Seth Davies heads-up, Piekazewicz acknowledged his crazy run: "It was probably the best tournament I ever had. I've never seen anything like this before. Even I am surprised."

First-ever triple KO in Triton history

Piekazewicz picked up three of his 14 bounties in just one hand, writing himself into the Triton history books as the first player to record a triple knockout.

With 14 players left, Piekazewicz picked up aces and watched as his opponents started shoveling chips in the middle.

Du Qiao open-jammed 9bb from under the gun, and Jun Obara re-jammed for 30bb. Piekazewicz called with his aces and picked up another all-in from Anatoly Zlotnikov with his remaining 9bb.

Piekazewicz had the covering stack, and the runout was about as clean as you get. You can watch the carnage play out in the post below.

That might have been the most spectacular hand, but Piekazewicz ran about as pure as you can, and he’ll be hoping that run continues into the bounty draws on Saturday.
