In Episode 5 of Octopi Poker's GTO Duel series, Stephen Chidwick faced off against his toughest opponent yet: Canada's own Sam Greenwood

While prior episodes saw Chidwick take on a selection of Octopi Poker students – including a three versus one showdown against a team of amateur players in Episode 4 – he faced an entirely different class of opponent in his battle against Greenwood.

With Octopi Poker's Matt Hunt back in the host's chair, the two super high rollers battled it out across a wide variety of randomized post-flop situations. In an attempt to further test his two competitors, Hunt toggled on the random number generator (RNG) to both add an extra layer of difficulty to the game and "so that you guys can get a sense of how some of the elite players that are using these tools are implementing RNG processes."

Bonomo-approved educational content

While past episodes utilized a strike system for scoring the matches, Chidwick and Greenwood were given 1,000-point "health bars" – mirroring the showdowns in the Street Fighter video game series. Each EV mistake made cost them 100 health points while RNG errors saw them penalized based on the percentage of the RNG blunder.

It's another episode of top-notch educational poker content, delivered to audiences in an engaging fashion – something the poker world needs much more of. And we're not the only ones who think so.

Justin Bonomo, one of the highest-earning tournament professionals of all time, took to the social media streets to give his seal of approval for the series.

"This is the best free strategy content I’ve ever seen," Bonomo wrote.
