The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to the Sierra Nevada Mountains later this month for 18 rings and a $1,700 Main Event at Caesar's Republic Lake Tahoe. It's the first time in a year for the Tahoe stop, which saw 439 entries for its Main Event last November.
The familiar Circuit venue has undergone a name change but everyone will know it as Harvey's Lake Tahoe, where a $160 million renovation is underway to revamp the casino floor and hotel rooms. WSOPC has stopped in Tahoe since its very first season at 2005, first at Harrah's then then Harvey's from 2008 until now.
Last time in Tahoe, Evan Sandberg won $133K in the Main Event at a final table that included multiple Main Event champs and bracelet winners. The relaxed mountain atmosphere make it a favored stop among Circuit grinders.
Main Event opening flights run Oct. 30–Nov. 1
This year's schedule features 18 ring events and the action starts fast with the first of three flights in the $400 Mini Main on October 23. The 24th and 25th each offer another flight and everyone will return to decide a winner on Oct. 26th.
The rest of the preliminary events play out with options like the $400 Seniors Event on Oct. 26, a $400 Six-Max on Oct. 27, and two flights for a $400 Monster Stack on Oct. 29 and 30.
It all leads up to the $1,700 Main Event with flights at 11am on Oct. 30, 31, and Saturday, Nov 1. Day 2 will play out on Sunday with a final table to wrap up the series on Monday.
A $300 Womens Event will play out on Nov 1 while unlucky Main Event players have a shot at several events in the post-lims, like the $400 40/40/40 for 40 year olds and two $400 one-day events before the $400 Double Stack Closer on the last day.
