With three weeks of World Series of Poker (WSOP) action in the books and more than 40 bracelets already awarded, it's a good time to take stock of how the PokerOrg Fantasy Freeroll is shaping up

By now, your chosen players have hopefully started to rack up serious points.

And if not, well... just remember what David 'ODB' Baker told us last week: "Your team is not dead no matter how dead you think it is. There are so many points left to be awarded – so many field bonuses and so many bracelets."

Foxens heating up, Deeb stays ice-cold

With several point hauls over the last week – including a fourth bracelet win in the $10K Super Turbo Bounty – Alex Foxen has emerged as the player to beat at the top of the points leaderboard.

With 317 points already accrued, Foxen's results position him on top of both the Fantasy leaderboard and the WSOP Player of the Year race.

Kristen Foxen, Alex's better half, is having a strong showing as well. Her 130-point haul places her well inside the top 20.

Shaun Deeb, on the other hand, remains ice cold. After coming into the summer series as the odds-on favorite for Player of the Year, Deeb has failed to put up the meaningful results needed. With only a single significant score, he'll need to turn it around quickly if he wants to stay in the running.

Or, he could just change his last name to Foxen and reap the rewards.

Kath's Calls still leads PokerOrg Fantasy Freeroll

Nearly a week after reaching the top spot, Kath's Calls retains its grip on the lead with 957 points

Naoya Kihara's double bracelet haul set Kath's Calls on a winning path before Kristen Foxen and Nick Schulman took up the torch with bling-winning performances of their own.

Here's how the Kath's Calls roster stacks up so far:

Kath's Calls

  • Nick Schulman – 272
  • Naoya Kihara – 258
  • Kristen Foxen – 130
  • Bryn Kenney – 90
  • Brad Ruben – 64
  • Josh Reichard – 59
  • Patrick Leonard – 47
  • Bradley Jensen – 37

With four bracelets already won and several sizable point hauls from the rest of the squad, the owner of Kath's Calls has hit the jackpot with their picks thus far

That said, there's still a long way to go and all it takes is one player going on a heater to upset the top end of the leaderboard.

At the other end of the spectrum lies Shangle Shooters, whose eight-player team has somehow managed to accumulate just 68 points.

With Calvin Anderson's 36 points and Brian Rast's 17 the only double-digit contributions on the roster, and Huck Seed, Ben Lamb, and Isaac Haxton still sporting goose eggs, the Shangle Shooters are in serious need of a turnaround.
